Welcome S!! We are also using Ines, met her and visited Dubrovnik for the first time in March and were delighted with everything!! The only thing i have in common with your plans is the photographer Veronica-did you meet her when you were there? if not i can assure you she is really lovely, she does storybook albums as one of her options which were beautiful, she's all about the natural photos too which we'll be alot more comfortable with. if you read back through some of the thread-most brides had Veonica and everyone seemed really happy with her. What boat are you planning on having for the trip? When's your big day?

Hello!
I'm looking for get married in Croatia in 2015.
Civil Cermony 30-50 guests
I have contacted every planner to get an idea of what they can do for me... some more flexible than others.
I was looking to get complimentary rooms for the parents of the bride and groom but some of the planners gave me an outright no.
I'm torn between Hvar and Dubrovnik.

Hiya, CB2015-I've only been to Dubrovnik so cant give any advice on Hvar-have you been to either of them? I dont know how negotiable prices/complimentary things are, when i read other topics on this site of ladies getting married in Ireland they seem to be getting prices down on everything and getting lots of extras thrown in too! i havent been planning very long so maybe it'll be possible the longer you're working with a planner. i hope anyway S2013-we're not doing anything day before or after either, we'll pick a place for dinner/drinks and people can meet us if they want to. we're getting married outside in a garden and going to do a boat trip after the ceremony from the harbour in the old town. the reception is also going to be outside, really really hoping for nice weather!!

Hi sineadwaterford, Im using DLW aswell and getting married in Cavtat in 5 weeks time, im actually going over weekend after next to finalise everything with Paula, all i can say is, she has taken the stress out of everything, its been so easy to organise, fingers crossed it all goes well on the day, but DLW will really look after you. I havent noticed anybody to be cheaper than DLW, they were roughly all asking the same price for what we wanted. Do go over though, its so amazing all the different venues, you will blown away, its so hard to choose whats right for you, but so much fun finding out too.......We only booked our wedding in October 2011, so its all come together in under 9months, and thats all thanks to Paula. Best of luck, you will really enjoy it .

My wedding is in 2014, brought it forward by a year as it seemed so far away.
The planner seems to be having difficulty with the venues - she says the don't want to take bookings that far in advance as the prices have not been made yet.
Anyone else experience this?

I need your help Croatia Brides!
I'm getting married last minute this summer in Croatia, just a small symbolic ceremony (6ppl) but all the wedding planners charge the same price as a full blown wedding, and we're on a tight budget. I have reserved a location and a friend is going to do the photography, but I still need someone to perform the ceremony and maybe even someone to play a guitar or violin. (I'd be happy with a student even.) Any ideas where I could find these people? Thanks so much, Wish me luck...

Can i ask which planners you've tried? Are they giving you any information so you can start make some decisions on venues etc?

Have tried them all at this stage!
I know exactly what venue I want for the ceremony and reception. I'm waiting one more planner and if she says the same I will be moving locations.
I just want to get the ball rolling!

Hi B2B2015,
Im getting married in Cavtat in two weeks time, and im using DLW, the reason none of them are being especially helpful is beacuse the prices jump year to year, we booked our wedding in Oct 11, and the prices for this year have gone up by over 30% so if they commit to you now then they have to give you this years prices. Why dont you try and go it alone and contact the hotels directly? you do need a planner over there for you, but if you can secure your venue on your own, your halfway there. There are tons of fabulous places to get married, and everything is on the web.....good luck
