30 Day Shred

Re: 30 Day Shred

Postby under construction » Wed May 02, 2022 12:47 pm

Just ordered this online - hopefully be starting next week.

I have just lost 3 and a half stone with WW so don't want to lose anymore weight, but want to tone up - this just sounds too good to be true as i find it hard to find time for gym / classes as i work full time then want to spend the evenings with DS as i see him so little so this would be perfect for me when he is in bed in the evenings.

I did Day 2 (Level 1) This morning, took a day out yesterday to give my muscles time to recover, I really was in agony! Still a little sore this morning but the more I got into the DVD, the more they relaxed and I wasn't sore at all by the end of it. I'm going to do Day 3 tomorrow :)

I wonder if I'll ever be able to do a bicycle crunch... :eek

I did day 1 this evening - ouch!!! I would go to gym often enough so thought 20 mins would be piece of cake- I could barely walk up stairs to shower! I can see how this would tone u up! Plan on doing day 2 tomorrow straight after work then have rest of my Friday night to relax O-O

Finally completed level 1 after an 11 day break for reasons I wont bore you with but I thought it was going to be hard like the beginning. It wasnt hard at all, so if you ever have a break just start again dont give up. I am so glad I did it again tonight and I hope I am ready for level 2 if I can ever download it!!

I have a stone of baby weight (and Christmas weight!) left to lose and have decided to try to the 30 day shred for January, any takers? would be great to get some motivation...

I tried it before about 2 years ago and found it good, but I didn't do it for 30 days straight.

Babs Christening is on the 28th Jan and I have my eye on a lovely dress.......

I had to do day 11 on level 1 as I can't get level 2 on DL. I suppose it's better than waiting till I get the DVD. 9 days till we fly out !!

Thanks for this advice Michael. I didn't realise about exercise only accounting for 5% of effort. I have diet issues myself. I've tried cutting out carbs but find I just crave certain foods and next thing I know I'm collecting a chinese after work. I'm getting married next month and really need to lose at least stone or more. Any advice?

coach wrote:Hi Ladies,

No matter what form of exercise you partake in, please remember that the exercise is only 5% of the effort. The other 95% is your healthy eating plan. So if you get fed up with the workouts, get some other form of exercise in. Once you continue with your "clean eating" you will do really well. Love to hear how you are both getting on.Regards michael. mypt.ie

Day 1 done. Managed it quite well. Only simplified the push ups. Its similiar to what I had been doing with the personal trainer (except shorter) so fingers crossed I wont be too sore tomorrow.

Day 2 - tick

No major pains this morning.
Felt harder doing it today (I presume muscles fatigue also I was rushed doing it so maybe didn't put my all in)
Def feel it in the quads after.

Have to do Day 8 today at some stage.... the thoughts of it....

Still, I have to say I've noticed a huge difference since Day 1 - not in weight or anything but in general fitness and strength. I've gone from literally sweating from the eyelids to just about clammy (she said, two days before the killer Level 2 beckons...).

Days 3&4 done. I find it great because when you get fed up you just only 1 more strength to do etc helps break it down.

Having to miss today :o( good to hear it works carjam.

Just ordered it today from play.com - does anyone know if it will take long to come???

My wedding is in 4 months and I need to lose 1 stone - and tone up arms, tummy, hips, bum and thighs, is this gonna work for me?? I normally haven't the willpower to stick to excercise but I hope this will be different as I need to lose weight and tone up to lose half respectable in my dress!

MaggiesSbride - I think I seen some videos on youtube, so maybe order the dvd and start on the youtube videos in the meantime...

My dvd arrived yesterday so last night i started it.
Day 1 done and dusted - my god it was tough but just as you are about to give up she says now only 4 more and it does spur you on.
Im not too sore this morning but i know the pain only kicks in on day 2 or 3 normally so going to stick with it and if im not in too much pain im going to try do it each evening.
So is there only 2 levels on it? So am i right in thinking i do each level for 15 days ?
