Following on from the how old were you when you got married, i had noticed that a lot of couples had been together a long time before getting married.
And I was wondering why?
In my case we got engaged after a year and were together 3 years when we married.

We were together just over 3 years when we got engaged, and it'll be just over 5 years when we get married. As regards the other part of the question about why people wait so long, I think we just did things when they felt right. There's no right or wrong, it just depends what suits the couple. We knew after being together for 2 months we were going to get married, but now the time feels right, for us. |

We were engaged just over 2 1/2 years in, and we'll be married 1 month after our 4 year anniversary. _________________
I'm on a 30 day diet.
So far I've lost 15 days. |

2 1/2 years when we got married - just shy of 2 years when we got engaged. When you're an oul' wan like me you don't hang around too long. _________________

Been together for 8 years and will be getting married next August, just got engaged in August, But I was only 16 when I started going out with him so thats my excuse. It just felt like the right time to get married now (Plus I don't want to have a 10 year anniversary, I'm too young ) |
