WIN an exclusive overnight stay and dinner for 4 people at The Garden, Ballintubbert in Co. Laois, a picture perfect wedding location.

A picture perfect wedding day location!

The Garden Ballintubbert in Co. Laois is now offering couples the opportunity to have their wedding photographs taken on the grounds of their magical and secluded garden venue.

This stunning setting on 14 acres of beautiful landscape arranged almost symmetrically around a Georgian House in the middle of a picturesque valley provides the perfect backdrop for memories that will last a lifetime.  This is the perfect way to add a little extra luxury to your big day so make sure you ask your wedding photography to get in touch with Ballintubbert!

Once you have viewed this breathtaking location, it is quite possible that you will want to have your entire wedding celebration there!  Ballintubbert, which opened in 2011 as a public garden experience, gives wedding parties exclusive use of the grounds and full use of the beautiful 4 bed Georgian House for the duration of a wedding weekend.  Guests staying in nearby hotels and guesthouses can also be accommodated with courtesy coaches.

The wedding ceremony itself can take place on the Saturday afternoon at any of three venues:  Immediately adjacent to the garden is the 1780 Church of Ireland; One mile’s drive brings you to the idyllic Ballyadams Catholic Church; and for civil ceremonies, the Lutyen’s Garden in Ballintubbert Garden itself.  The main reception can cater for up to 220 guests in a Big Top marquee on The Theatre Lawn.

From a drinks reception on the lawn overlooking the breathtakingly beautiful canal, to wedding photos in the scenic gardens, to a first dance outdoors after dark, a magnificent fireworks display and a BBQ the following day, the sky’s the limit for weddings at The Garden Ballintubbert

The settlement at Ballintubbert dates back to 1540 and has been lovingly restored over the past ten years.  This continuous work of art has only recently opened to the public as one of Ireland’s largest Garden experience, being the perfect destination for family day trips, gardening enthusiasts, people interested in history and the arts, as well as tourists to Ireland.

Ballintubbert was originally home to poet C. Day Lewis (father of Daniel Day Lewis and poet laureate) who was born in the house in 1904 and the actors John Hurt and Sebastian Shaw, who played the role of Anekin Skywalker in Star Wars.

The Garden Ballintubbert is also available to hire as an exclusive event venue and there are a series of events taking place on the grounds throughout the year.
