It's Bridesmaid Week on WeddingsOnline.ie and we're picking some of our favourite looks for a winter wedding! On Tuesday we featured our favourite red and cranberry bridesmaid dresses, both designer and high street, and now we're showing you how to style the colour!
The gals in WeddingsOnline HQ are mad for a bit of leopard print, not to mention faux fur, so we've added a touch of animal to accessorize our fave red dress this season. FIERCE. Leopard print really compliments bright red, but don't go overboard if you're not into the Cat Slater look, a clutch (below, Karen Millen) is a great way to add a hint while keeping it classy. Diamonts (bracelet from Coast) and fur (cropped jacket, Karen Millen) are Christmas staples, so it would be an awful shame not to bling your bridesmaids up with a little of both!
Finish the look off with a red lip, some Louboutins (or similar!) and a gorgeous brooch bouquet. Divine.
PS Will work as well for guests or for a party outfit, just maybe give the bouquet a miss.

Have a chic and sexy weekend all x
This muted pink, grey and cream bouquet, handtied and finished with a white satin ribbon and vintage-style diamont brooch brings a softness and sophistication to any wedding gown, adding to it just a whisper of old world charm.
This brilliant red bouquet is both striking and neat, and immediately draws the eye. Matched perfectly with red ribbon, this bouquet says drama and sensuality and is an easy way of adding a touch of wow to your wedding attire.
This fluffy cream bouquet with white ribbon and dripping diamont brooch would make a beautiful accompaniment to a sheer, sheath wedding gown, adding just the right amount of bling.
Left: Cream and moss green brings a earthy tone to wedding decor, and is the perfect mix to keep the whole style soft while adding a back-to-nature vibe. The white tulle and mini pearls add glamour to the bouquet.
Right: This vibrant purple and pink bouquet is a wonderful way to add colour to a wedding outfit, or to set the tone of the decor for after. The colours bring a little bit of fun and femininity to the wedding table!

So it's nearly two weeks until one of the biggest weddings of the decade (beside your own, obvs) and we in WeddingsOnline HQ are speculating about every inch of Kate and William's big day. Today it's been all about the bouquet.
A Royal Wedding always has tradition at the heart of it, so with that in mind we see Kate opting for a pale bouquet, comprised of home-grown flowers. However we also think Kate will keep up with modern bridal trends for her day, so she might go with a very simple but romantic bloom, elegantly tied and with little or no extra detail. The most perfect flowers for this look are peonies and hydrangeas, which look infinately feminine and are a great look if you want something softer than a rose. We also think Kate will stay away from cascading flowers, so that she compliments, but doesn't take away from her dress (which we think will be a lot more demure than Diana's)
Lily-of-the-valley may also make an appearance in the wedding flowers, Camilla Parker Bowles used this along with primrose in her dainty bouquet, and the flower was also famously held by one Grace Kelly, queen of bridal style, on her wedding day in 1956.

There’s speculation that Fairtrade white roses from Kenya will be included, as that was where William popped the question while they were on holiday together!

Princess Diana's bouquet was made up of stephanotis and gardinias, among other flowers, and also included a sprig of Myrtle, which is a royal wedding tradition dating back to the time of Queen Victoria.

This is possibly where Kate can use some colour in her bridal wear without ruffling too many feathers! We've speculated that she may go for blue for her bridesmaids, to match the engagement ring that's made such a splash in the wedding world.
I came across Belathee Photography on my daily trawl through wedding blogs. I knew instantly that the unique boutique photography style would be perfect for our summer cover, so I emailed owners Dorothee and Anabel who responded within hours and immediately started compiling options for me. The two were an absolute pleasure to work with and I am so thankful that we were able to use their work on our cover (see previous post). So to say thanks I thought I would show one of their stunning weddings that was featured on Style Me Pretty (and also happens to be the wedding of Il Divo's David Miller!). This wedding is so adorable...and chic...and cool and all the other adjective for absolutely amazing! Oh and guess what? The two are available to shoot weddings in Ireland! http://www.belathee.com/
I've had the great pleasure of working with Sharon Griffin from Frog Prince Wedding Days a couple times and I can safely say she is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. She is also an amazingly talented decor and floral designer. She just gets it. She knows how to translate people's ideas into a beautiful reality that far surpasses their expectations, which is probably why she won the WeddingsOnline.ie Award for Decor Supplier of the Year. Here are some of her fresh and elegant bouquets, perfect for a spring wedding!
Just an FYI, Sharon is offering a great competition on her facebook page. If you become a fan you get entered to win €1,000 of venue decor. Wow! Click here to become a fan.
These bouquets are each unique and interesting in their own way. Flowers are one of my favourite parts of any wedding, but sometimes I think people treat them like an after thought. It's true , that if the flowers are average people don't always notice them, but if they are truely specticular people don't forget!

The dress fits like a gorgeous glove, the colour of the bridesmaids dresses is stunning and the way everything is coordinated is flawless. But for some reason...I think the flowers steal the show. This might be one of my favourite bouquets...ever (which is hard for me to admit as a die-hard hydrangea supporter). I don't usually like mixed bouquets, but something about this is really sweet. The colours are so complimentary, the arrangement is so natural, everything just works in a really organic way. As flowers should.

I learned from this exercise that I love peonies and hydrangeas...and any flower that looks like them.

A great floral centrepiece is automatic style. You don't need to go to extreme lengths; the flowers are enough on their own. I am trying to brain storm about how to have a creative and elegant floral centrepiece and not break the bank, as my flower budget seems to be shrinking with my venue choices! These are my favourite.

I came across these perfect bouquets from the Rosie Days blog...and wow! They are so delicate and the colour palette is to die for. And the garland around the arch...don't even get me started! Simply divine! Despite the winter wonderland outside these delectable bouquets remind me that spring/summer has to come eventually...it just has to...right?
