Red is the colour of love, passion and romance, so what better colour for your bridesmaids to wear on your wedding day!? Red Bridesmaid dresses | How to accessorise red dresses | Red wedding decor | Christmas wedding | Winter wedding ideas
If you're having a winter wedding, particularly around Christmas time (40 days everyone!), what better colour for your bridesmaids to wear than red?
Although it's a popular colour for weddings, red is a tricky colour to pull off. It's striking, and so, it tends to dominate photographs, sometimes distractingly. Red has a tendency to bleed into other colours, especially into pure white, which can look harsh in places. Try to stick to off-whites, silvers and creams when accessorizing red. Bright reds should be worn with confidence, so keep that in mind when dressing your bridesmaids. If they have more demure personalities, try a berry red, which works well with all skintones and won't make them feel as exposed. It's interesting to note also that lighter reds go very well with light pinks, which will give you a whole new palette to work with.
