Jesus Peiro 2013 Soire Collection.
Jess Peir's philosophy is based on high quality design to transform the feminine figure la the first of the modern designers (namely Worth, Lanvin and Chanel). Designed and made solely in Spain, each garment is based on high quality finishes, often compared to haute couture. 'Soire', Jess Peir's 2013 offering, represents elegance, femininity and romanticism while conveying that true passion for couture and craftsmanship.
Retro accessories such as vintage lace skull caps and pearl-laden veils provide a frame for this early 20th century inspired collection, which is not only aesthetically based on the era, but also considers the origin of the fabrics, embroideries, accessories and the structure of the gowns.
The result is intimate and feminine. A non-excessive richness which provides character and power to the "look" dedicated to a bride.
Draped bows, which were a staple in the 2012 Jesus Peiro collection, are now more geometric and built-up. A defined, modern structure has become paramount to silhouettes from voluminous ball gowns to precisely pleated sheaths, providing a fresh and contemporary edge to each piece.
The predominant colour for the 2013 Jess Peir collection continues to be light, as if it were enamel. However, the use of embroidery and jewels bring the garment closer to the proposed aesthetic and includes tones which have been taken from metal, for open-structured fabrics as well as for embroidery and Chantilly with the presence of gold.
A feminine softness is achieved with combined Chantilly, nets printed with flock and glitter, silk gauze and transparent chiffon with picots. Tulle, silk organza and cotton guipure strengthen pieces through intricate and elegant embroidery.
Trend alert!
Intricately detailed sheer backs are a huge trend for 2013 brides (see Caroline Hererra's 'Twilight' dress and subsequent replicas) and this creation by Jesus Peiro embellishes and defines the feature to perfection.
Jesus Peiro is available at White Orchid, Swords, Dublin and The White Room, Westmeath.
