Re: Secrets Maroma Cancun, anyone been recently?
We were there recently it was pure paradise the restaurants are top notch the food served throughout the resort during the day (seaside grill) is great too! Great selection of drinks too! The entertainment team there are brilliant so much to keep you going but they won't annoy you if you're in you're in and if not you can sit back relax and watch the fun! I would go back in a heartbeat absolutely loved it, we didn't leave the resort so can't help you there we thought there was enough to keep us entertained within the resort! Soooo jealous of you all heading there!! pool and beach fab too!!

Re: Secrets Maroma Cancun, anyone been recently?
Hi! We didn't go to the spa but we got talking to a couple there and they had used it they spoke very highly of it! The night time entertainment was great there was a film some nigts early enough 7ish the main entertainment would normally start around 9/9.30 it varied between am magic show, a dance show, talent show and a few others the best was a cirque de soleil(can't spell)! obviously not the real one but the entertainments team version was excellent really enjoyable! During the day was relaxing there might be a bit of noise but I enjoyed it, it gave a bit of a buzz about the place, some americans were loud at times but they were only there for a few days i think the all inclusive excited them the first day drink on tap so go crazy!! The activities during the day were pool volleyball, pool side bingo, poolside games (mexican themed) they only last for half hour max and there were other activities on the beach and around the resort! The activities didn't bother me at all I thought it was fun watching people if we weren't doing them ourselves! Ask away if there's anything! I am actullay sooo jealous!!! Ps The rooms are fab too!!

Re: Secrets Maroma Cancun, anyone been recently?
Bales,
You asked me to come back on after my honeymoon. Just back and I see its 1 day to yours... Woohoo.. enjoy it.. Such a fantastic day. I'd love to do it all again. Don't know whether you will see this or not but here goes.. Secrets Maroma was fantastic. The standard of food is excellence. If you love Pan-Asian food, definitely try Himitsu, it is absolutely gorgeous, our favourite. You can book in to sit at the Teppanyaki tables. You sit with other people in a U shape but the chef cooks right in front of you and does a bit of a show. Fantastic!!! Also, another highlight if you are into it, you can book these bed things on the beach for €40 for the day, its your own private area, covered if you want to hide away from the sun.. it is so so hot over there and your own sunlounger if you want to be out it. Your own waiter who will bring drink and food to your bed area all day. Whatever you want. It was like paradise. One of my favourite days by the beach. We decided to treat outselves. You were asking about the spa and the romantic dinner on the beach.. I did both. The spa is fantastic, not the cheapest but I thought it was worth it. Did an aromatherapy massage which was just lovely. My husband and I both got massages and they did them in the same room so if he would like that, you should ask for that.. its a nice thing to do. You also get access to the hydotheraphy area where there are different cold pool, pressure pumps etc..Really really nice Romantic dinner.. Mmmm.. it was nice but we thought it was probably a bit expensive for what you get. LIke its lovely to do something different so don't let me put you off.. but its not like the pictures.. you are in your own little hut type thing but there are huts beside you and behind you or in front of you so you can sometimes hear other people talking. I would recommend if you are doing it to go for the earlier sitting as you then get to experience it in daylight and in darkness so depending on where the sun is you can see the sunset. I did enjoy it as its kind of a honeymoon thing to do so its totally up to you!! ![]() The waiters and entertainment staff are really friendly aswell. Can't do enough for you. Enjoy it.. Regarding trips around the area, we only did one so there could be loads of different ones to do depending on what you want to do. Historical ones etc. We decided to do a fun day out, went to a place called Xel Ha. We loved it. It was a combo full day in Xel Ha and swimming with the dophins. You can do zip lining into water, snorkling, tubing, cave snorkling etc..Depends on what you are in. I know there is another place people say is great too is Xplor but we didn't get a chance to go there. I think that is about everything.. hope it helps!!! ... good luck tomorrow and have an absolute ball on your honeymoon!!! ![]() [url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/]
