Zanzibar accommodation

Zanzibar accommodation

Hi,

I am undecided on choice of accommodation for Zanzibar and would like some advice from anyone who has been and could recommend a beautiful resort that is not budget blowing! It will be at the end of our Garden Route trip and a 3 day safari so R&R essential :)

The 3 hotels I am currently looking at are -

The Z Hotel - a bit too touristy maybe?
Ras Nungwi - good location, beach?
Next Paradise - good location, beach?

Any info greatly appreciated!

The Z hotel was extremely expensive for time we there, so after loads of research on Trip Advisor I booked Next Paradise...rated 1 at time and found them most helpful there.

Haven't been yet but booked Zanzibar for my honeymoon too. Looked at all the hotels u mentioned there but ended up booking a place called Pongwe Beach. Not a big hotel like the others but seems to offer total R&R. The have bungalows right on the beach!!! And apparently u can hear the waves outside your door at night.
