Mexico: Secrets Maroma - Silversands???

Hi all,

Need some advice from ye.....
Thinking of Mexico (6days) and Orlando for honeymoon.
Looking at Secrets Maroma for Mexico. Reviews are amazing and looks fab! My only fear is...would it be too quiet??? We were advised by a friend that Secrets Silversands would be livlier but I much prefer the look of Maroma. We're happy to have a nice few relaxing days after the wedding madness but don't want to end up bored after a couple of days. We like having a few drinks in the evening n that and would ideally like a bit of music around the pool for atmosphere but I've read that Secrets only plays real soft, spa-like music which is DEFO not us!!! We normally like atmosphere on a holiday over 5star quality if that makes sense! But then again on honeymoon it would be nice to have the luxury.
So I guess what Im trying to find out is..... anyone who has been here, how did you find it? Was there any craic at night? Not looking for anything mad lively because we will have Orlando after aswell but would be nice to meet a few people and have a laugh at night. Would we be better off stayin in Cancun centre?? Dont want to be surrounded by college students downing shots though n dancing on bars though :eek !

If you have any advice I would greatly appreciate it!!
