Photographer average cost for big day??

A year away and time to get planning!!
We are looking for a photographer and seen a few already! Prices range from 1,000 to 2,000... Album, disk all the usuals included!!
Now we do love the few we've seen at 2k, and can see the difference in the pictures, but double the price...
Can anyone recommended someone with a price range of in between??

My sister got married in Kerry and used Andreas from www.ATL-Photography.com She was delighted with him, I don't know how much he cost though :) I will find out for you and let you know.

We used Mike Burke - great on the day and his work is fantastic. We got our album last year and cant stop looking at it. Definitely recommend him.

I know Aindreas from atl and he is a lovely fella and a Kerry man if I recall correctly.

I couldnt be sure on his prices, all I can say is generally if it sounds too good to be true..... Now price ISNT a way of telling apart the good from the bad, many fab guys out there getting their foot in the door but for those of us that have been at it a while, well we have all heard from brides asking us can we fix this that or the other from their photos. I think the most important thing is to go for someone you feel comfortale with firstly, whose style you like secondly and whose package you can afford thirdly. The average for a disc package is 1k, albums can vary from 200 to, well whatever you want to spend really.
