DJ on Galway/Loughrea Area

Does anybody know of any good (not expensive) DJs in the Galway/Loughrea area that I could contact for my wedding. I've already had one recommended to me but at a cost of Eur375 which I think is really expensive for 2hrs work. We're already having to fork out Eur1600 for the band and really need to pull the purse strings with the DJ.

Scottish Bride,
I think 375 is very good value for hiring in a mobile disco for a night. Try pricing a wedding cake which takes less than 2 hours to bake??? That is sometimes even dearer and you only get a few minutes of enjoyment rather than a few hours of dancing!!! I have heard Kevin Belton is good or Galway djs.com. Also try star djs or digital djs. They have nationwide service I think. My Disco is costing about 400 for a very good DJ after the band. My total budget for entertainment is less than 2k out of my 22k overall budget so i think I am getting good value.

Hello Scottish Bride

My prices for 2005 are Eur300 for after the band (up to 3 hours but usually 2) or Eur450 for the full night (up to 6 hours but usually 5) for weddings within 50 miles of Galway City. I realise that I am cheaper than most other DJs but I own all my own equipment and therefore don't have to rent it on the night. That's not to say that any DJ charging close to 400 doesn't own their own gear but I'm happy with Eur300 for 2 hours.
