Hi, My date is the 13th July, off on May bank hol on my hen to Dublin really looking forward to it and my BM's have organised everything which is great as I don't know what's happening other than to be ready for 11am and after that it's all an adventure! I am staying in my own house night before wedding with BM's and my home house is not far away so going to head out early in the morning to get hair and makeup done at home in my family home and leave from there to the church! My sister (with a little help from my other sister) has my hen planned for the 8th & 9th of June It's a total surprise! I don't have a clue where we are going or what we're doing but a few friends have dropped hints like 'your sisters know you so well', 'it's right up your street', 'don't go too mad on the Friday night (some are only coming for the Saturday night) cos you will need your energy for the Saturday'! I can't wait for it Barrysbridejuly wrote:Ok just under 4 monts now to go, got my wine yesterday as they have great offers in tesco at the moment. Things done Venue Band Church Music Flowers decided on (my mum is doing them) Cake decided on ( My brother is making it) Dress got (fitting in 6 weeks) Bidsmaid dress got Suits ordered Decor sorted video, photos sorted Invites (work in progress) Jewlery for bridsmaids got My jewlery picked. Wine got Favors (work in progress) Booklets (typed just need to print)
Next on the list is hair piece (hairtrial done and decided on) rings, (mine engraved as using my muns and pick h2b's), groomsmen gits, parents gifts. I think that is all for now. Am i missing anything girls?
Sounds like you are pretty organised Barrysbridejuly This is what we have still to do: H2B has to pick his wedding ring (doing that on Thursday evening) lads have to get measured up for suits the invites are a work in progress (& doing my head in!!) need to make a start on the booklets asap undecided about favours at the moment buy bridesmaids & groomsmens gifts go for another hair trial (have had 2 so far!!) need to get a dress for the day after the wedding

I'm getting a bit nervous now too, i think i will feel better once i finish the invites and the favors. Plan on putting a big dent in getting the invites done this weekend (making them myself). I had the same dream about something spilling on my dress but it was red wine. Going to leave it as late as possible on the day to get into mydress. I ordered this dress for the day after the wedding, hope it's nice and fits measurments where a bit tight but nearly at my goal weight now 4-5 pounds to go

Oh Girls I have to laugh when you talking about wedding dreams or 'nightmares' ! I have had so many recently with my hair dresser not turning up and having to go to the priest to do my hair and have to walk up the aisle with it dripping wet, or arriving early and no one in church and I'm waiting on my own until people walk in! Or even funnier reaching top of alter and my HTB buttonanire is 2 foot big and pink and I'm saying to him but that's not what I ordered from the florist ! haha Only one good dream I had is that I was too drunk to remember the speaches and then when I've sobered up I realise I can't remember any of the wedding/speeches and start crying, I am so paranoid after that dream I'll be on water for the meal lol's Soo yes have to say I'm getting dreams all the time!

Omg, some crazy dreams there girls!! Not long now, i'm starting to get slightly panicky myself tbh! It's not cold feet, just kinda thinking a lot you know? I have no doubts over my OH but it's just that my family have not a great track record when it comes to marriage! I'm probably just focusing on all the negatives, but when family members make remarks like 'oh i wouldn't like to be you' referring to getting married, it's not very reassuring!! OH reckons she's just bitter about her own failed marriage, but still....unsettling to say the least! I suppose there will always be begrudgers:(

Hi! Im getting married July 21st and have the big things booked. However I nearly had heart failure on Monday. I rang to get appointment to register the marriage only to be told Id have to get married in August because apps were booked up til May and the only way to get app was thru cancelation. When I asked to put my name down I was told to try a different county and the lady hung up on me! I was panic stricken. I thought because I was nearly 4 months away and law requires it to be done 3 months in advance i had plenty of time!! Anyway my h2b saved the day. He rang the next county and got a cancelation for next week. No problem. Disaster with my bms too. They knew the app was made with dress maker two months ago for this wk to coincide with easter (due to school teachers and students timetables). Thankfully got their dresses sorted Tuesday but on Monday night I was unsure whether any of them would turn up. My sister didn't know if she would be finished shift in time, my sil didn't know if she could get a ferry from Wales and my friend went through a personality change the last two months due to stress in college and i haven't seen her and she wouldn't reply to my texts.... I ended up having to organize my hen even though they were the ones supposed to be organizing it and surprising me!! Anyway feels better now to have vented and I'm over the drama they created now. I just hope my hen and wedding day go smoothly!! Anyone any recommendations of websites to be bm jewelry? I want a bangle and earrings to go with their Grecian style dresses. Going on my hen June 16th, one night in Dublin. Looking forward to that Sounds like you are all so organized. I am having the odd nightmare like some of you. Hopefully we will all have the weddings of our dreams
