Re: I picked orange for my colour sheme, did anyone else?
ME ME ME!!!!!!!!!! In 17 days whoop whoop! Haven’t seen too many other people using it. I have it in the BM dresses, got the ivory flower girl dress altered to bring in some orange, having orange and pink gerberas for my bouquet, have brought it into the candy buffet, the cravats for the lads, going to be orange flowers in the pew ends, invitations had orange ribbon…can’t think of anything else. Oh ya orange ribbon and fresh gerberas on the cake.
Not decorating my venue at all as they include everything in the package so can’t be bothered spending money on my own decorations when the room is fab as it is! ![]() Re: I picked orange for my colour sheme, did anyone else?
Glad to hear someone else has picked it
![]() ![]() Moringsun will you send me some pics when your day is over? I bet you can't wait ![]()
Re: I picked orange for my colour sheme, did anyone else?
I will be doing a report and definitely putting up pictures so that is no bothers at all. I would like to have done orange chair sashes aswell but when I am getting them from hotel for free I couldn’t justify the expense, think it will be fine. It’s such a summery vibrant colour and I am delighted I picked it now!
What flowers are your BM’s having? I am just having plain ivory gerberas for them as it would be too much with the dresses aswell. then I am having bright orange, light orange and hot pink for myself. We got the cravats made at the weekend and they are fab, its funny cos my OH loves them and is thrilled with the bit of colour but the best man not so happy with it!! ![]() Re: I picked orange for my colour sheme, did anyone else?
I ordered my sashed from Ebay, hotel supplied gold ones but wanted to bring the colour into the rooms and we are only having approx 80-100 people there so didn't cost me to much for them also ordered some rose petals for on the tables. BM's are having just ivory roses and i have my bouquet which is a mixture of ivory roses and hydrenga but think i may have some orange ribbon put on the handle. Can i ask where you got the cravats made and were they expensive? I have extra material that i got from supplier of BM's Dresses to get them made. I think when the time comes and i see it all together that i'll love it but there is the odd time where i think have i picked the right colour lol ![]()
Re: I picked orange for my colour sheme, did anyone else?
Reallllllllllllllllllllllllllllly wanted orange bm dresses but when i got my own dress orange just didnt go with the style of my dress
![]() Ended up getting deep red bms but im going to have orange flowers. Hopefully something like this I think it will look really autumnal but still elegant
Re: I picked orange for my colour sheme, did anyone else?
We have orange as the accent colour. The BMs are royal blue and so we wanted something contrasting for the flowers and the GM Cravats. The orange will be in their flowers, my flowers, H2B buttonhole and his party too.
Havent thought of anyother ways to bring it in yet.
Re: I picked orange for my colour sheme, did anyone else?
Oh the orange rose petals could be a good idea, just to bring the colour into the room in a fairly cheap way, where did you order them?? might see if I could get them on time.
Our suit shop have a tailor that they recommended to make the cravats, where are you based? They cost €12 each to get made so not too bad I suppose. Ya it is all coming together for me now so I can see how it is all going to look and I love it. When are you getting married? ![]() Re: I picked orange for my colour sheme, did anyone else?
I'm also thinking of incorporating orange in my colour scheme. Getting married end of Oct, so will try to have a few flower decorations displayed in pumpkins at the venue. Will also go with orange & maybe pink in flowers. Love the orange calla lily, so def having that. I have seen pictures of several bouquets done in orange & pink & think they look really good & stand out in pictures.
Bridemaids have not selected their dressses, but one of them have red hair, so don't know if they will go with orange, but they may consider a rusty colour. Will have my candy table done up in halloween theme also. ![]()
Re: I picked orange for my colour sheme, did anyone else?
Wuhoo- count me in too. I have a burnt orange colour for my bridesmaids dresses and absolutely love it. My dress is ivory and has very fine gold threading in the train and the when I put the orange beside it I absolutely loved it. Have gold cravats on men though cos sons hair is carrot red and couldnt put orange cravat on him so the gold tones it down a little. Have gold ribbon on cake with handmade orange flowers. Not too much orange otherwise but loving it
![]() We recently booked uplighters for the room, any suggestions on what colour we should use? Should we go with a light orange/gold or something different to contrast the orange??? Jo xx [url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/]
