Pre Dinner Entertainment Cavan

Hi Ladies,
Does anyone know of any reasonably priced traditional Irish music groups for pre dinner / reception arrival entertainment in the Cavan area?
Really struggling to find anyone!!

I'm getting married in Cavan in July and I was the same... the bands are so expensive!! So got in touch with my hotel (the Kilmore) and asked them if they knew any local trad musicians and they gave me a name they use... Got in contact with him and am having three musician for two hours for 25euro.. was really happy with that price

I'd say get in tough with your hotel and see if there's anyone they recommend? Or I can pm you our guys name and number if you'd like?

deno - I'm sure you mean €250 and not €25?!!!

+1 - Contact your hotel and they will be able to give you numbers of people that they may use.

What hotel are you getting married in?

You could ask the organisers or co-ordinators of the Fleadh if there's a list of bands or groups who took part last year. I'm sure there are hundreds of trad groups who are very familiar with Cavan after the Fleadhs the last few years, and they'll be around again this year. Maybe they could recommend some local trad acts?

Excellent idea!

It will be an excuse to go to the Fleadh - you could ask different groups if they'd be interested and you could get them for a very good price!

oops, 250euro of course!! :duh:

The guy my hotel recommended is atcually the guy in charge of the fleadh in Cavan and he organised two other musicians.. he also organised three more musicians for the next day! :compress

I am getting married in Crover House but I'm living in Australia at the moment, bit of a nightmare arranging a wedding from here, we hope to move back to Ireland but not until after we get married so I have been using this website for tips and reviews! I can't get over the price of bands and photographers.. all so expensive!!
