RSVP- declines

HI just wonder what sort of decline rates are people getting?? Has the percentage of declines risen?? I dont have my own final stats yet.

Maybe if people could give day of wedding, number invited and number/ percentage of declines.

We invited 250 and our final number was 181 sitting down. HTH O:o)

We invited 179 and 122 sat down for the meal, so 32% decline rate - I think the average this year is 30% decline rate from reading another post on here. It may also depend on where your guests are coming from- a lot of our declines were from people living abroad who just couldn't afford to make the trip.

We planned for aprox. 15 % decline. Worst case scenario it could now be as high as 30%! It is a Friday wedding. We can't help but be a little disappointed. Did not expect it to be this high. The worst part is we really cut our numbers as we were afraid we wouldn't fit in venue if everyone accepted. And there are lots of people we could of invited that we would of liked to have had. But guess there is just no way of knowing in advance.

We had invited 171 and 118 to sit down for the day, its a friday wedding and we have a high deline with communions etc being next day after, was bit disappointed but when speaking to hotel they reckon no such thing as a big 300 guestlist to a wedding with the recession, im just gonna enjoy day and dance night away :-8

We are expecting a 30-35% decline rate as our wedding is on a Thursday, the week before the kids go back to school.

Dont worry too much about declines- the most important people will always make the effort to be there as everyone keeps telling me!

We are looking at around 20%-25% declive rate. We sent invites out early as people would have to travel quite far. We invited 190 and hoped for 150 and it looks like we will get just over the 150 which is perfect for us.

We invited 128 people and had 94 accept. So a 25% decline rate for us. Most people we really want are coming so it doesn't really bother me.
