Looking at other dresses...

Can someone make me stop looking at other dresses.

I'm so in between minds about my own one but its cost me a small fortune. I keep seeing other versions of it that I think might be nicer or look better on and I'm slowly but surely driving myself crazy.

Surely this is normal dress nerves?

Just remember how you felt in your dress when you tried it on first, and think of similar styles you tried on that you wouldnt dream of wearing for your wedding. There was a reason you picked the dress you did, because you LOVED it :)

I remember a friend of mine spent ages picking a dress, and fell in love with the one she picked, then she came home and was trying to explain what the dress looked like..and put herself off it ;o( ..but actually it was stunning on her, and I couldn't imagine anything else on her.

I need a lot of alterations to the dress I bought and I think that is part of the problem with it. I just want it to look right. I loved the dress because of the back detail which was unusual at the time. Now a lot of collections this year have something similar and I keep looking at those dresses wondering if they're nicer than the one I bought!

Thanks for the advice... Need to try and forget about it until all the alterations are done!

me too!! :(

I love my dress and when i see it on other brides i think its flippin' fab, but it needs a load of alterations on me, and every time i see it on me, all i can see is the gaping bust line, and the fact it sits just a little too high,.. :(

i really must book it in for alterations, however, i need to lose a little weight too, which doesnt quite help either, so i cant go just yet.. :(

patience and weight loss.. :(

I feel exactly the same, I cant stop looking at dresses and wondering did i pick the right one . Anyones opinions?

Just a thought (literally)... try to remember how you felt in your dress. I tried on loads of dresses that I actually know was nicer than my dress but didn't give the same feeling. I knew my dress was my dress even though there are nicer dresses out there. Does that make sense lol O:|

bride2be i know how you feel...... it's almost compulsive behaviour at this stage with me, like i'd get the DT's if i didn't do it :o0 dunno. think it's just because there's a feature of my dress that's niggling at me (the waist) but i think if i add an accessory (a sash) it might finally put the niggles to rest. i think it's normal wedding nerves (as opposed to just dress nerves)!

Wedding12 - your dress is absolutely gorgeous! i really love the pattern of the lace and the embellishment. what is it about it that you're not sure of? maybe you could post a pic of yourself wearing it (without your face in the pic) to get some feedback from the wollies?! it's kind of hard to say what doesn't suit you if we can't see you in it! but going by the model pic alone, it's totally fab.
