Bridesmaid Styling - Yes or No??

Bridesmaid Styling - Yes or No??

Postby FutureMrsS » Mon May 14, 2022 11:45 am

Hey everyone! So I found (what i think are) the prettiest shoes!! And now am unsure how to proceed with bridesmaid styling...

I've posted a few times before about this. I'm having an afternoon tea wedding in August, so the clock is ticking! I really should have all of this sorted already! HUA for lack of organisation! :-)

Anyway, below are my bridesmaid dresses, my MOH is a tea length ivory floaty chiffon dress, the ADORABLE shoes I found, and POSSIBLY this cropped jacket over BM/MOH dresses...what does everyone think? Too much? Or pretty and suits the afternoon tea theme??

Hi

Everything looks gorgous but i think the jacket & shoes may be floral overkill - too much for me anyway!

Dresses are lovely, I wouldn't be mad about the jacket. The shoes are VERY high but like the idea you are going for. I would be lucky to last an hour in those. One of my bm's wouldn't be able to walk in them.

I think the jacket and shoes are FAB and will be gorgeous over your MOH dress because it's plain but over the broderie anglais I think it's too much. Sorry

would you consider a floral cardi rather than a jacket? I think it may be a little too much. Love the idea! It's fab.

I think they're all gorgeous, would need to see the white dress with the jacket and shoes in case as mentioned it's overkill, but I would hope it wouldn't be because I think they're all super cute together in theory :) Love the style of them, so cute and informal but still dressy.

Can't find floral cardis - that's what I originally wanted!! :-( Boo! But can't find floral cardi in the right colour for the shoes!

That's what I was thinking with the florals, that it might just be too much...(sigh!) everything else is all neutrals though, so I was thinking maybe try find shrug in same colour as base of shoe - the beige-y kind of colour? <3 florals right now though!

The girls ALL wear high shoes ALL the time, so it would be ok on that front!

Thanks! I'd actually seen the Newlook one, but it says it's out of stock! >;-( But something like that! What I like about that one and the jacket is the small floral print, as opposed to the Topshop/Gap ones which have large flowers... I thought the smaller ones would look prettier/daintier etc...

Also saw this one (below) but it only comes in X-Small... I think it's just gorgeous though!

I like the first one but not crazy on the shrug. Not sure how it will go with the dresses.

How about this one?

Mmm... I saw it, it's pretty! I'd have to bring the dresses into Forever21, just to see ivory against it...It says they're cream but it looks fairly white to me... :-/ ARGH! if I could only get the one 2 up!! Pity it only comes in teensy size! Would fit two of the girls, but not the third!

Loving the shoes. They are fab but not too keen on the jacket

Thanks! I think the shoes are class! As for NewLook do you think they would??? They're such a big brand I didn't think they'd be.much help.

Think I'll get camel/beige cardis and leave it as is... maybe with floral jewelry or something...
