Wedding in Spain - How much will it cost?

Recently I have had quite a few E.mails asking me what it will cost to have a Wedding in Spain.. .. This is a major worry for a lot of couples before making the decision to go abroad and understandably so.

Weddings abroad often mean less guests, less fuss, therefore less financial outlay. Having said that, getting married abroad can be as lavish as you want, but if you’re on a strict budget for your wedding abroad you’d be surprised at what you can get for your money and how far you can make it go.

The most important factor in keeping costs down for a wedding abroad is to make a budget and stick to it. Do let your planner know in advance you are on a strict budget so she can advise on the best venues so that you get value for your money.

I always tell my couples that what makes any wedding a success is three key areas.. The Ceremony, Meal & Party. Its all very nice to have a chauffeur driven car, a 4 tiered cake, lavish flowers but are these the things that are important in making your day? Will anyone even notice?? The answer is a big NO!

If your budget doesn´t stretch to having live music at the ceremony will your guests think of you any different? - Of course they won´t!

Can you get away with playing a CD during cocktails & dinner? - Of course you can!

Do you need both Band & DJ - If guests are up to having a good time they will enjoy a disco as much as they will live music.

I strongly feel that your wedding day should be about two people committing to spending the rest of their lives together, not about impressing masses of relations & friends with the variety of "Tapas" on offer!
