2WW - 6 cycles or months plus TTC

2WW - 6 cycles or months plus TTC

Postby littlesugarloaf » Tue Jan 10, 2022 5:05 pm

Hey there, based on some discussion over on this fab thread (viewtopic.php?f=26&t=339610&start=60), have decided to start this one up. It's for anyone who is more than 6 cycles actively trying to conceive who is on the dreaded 2ww.

Of course any newbies are welcome to browse or ask a question (to avail of our amazing wisdom :) ) but it's mainly for those who have gone through 6 cycles of more and are at the "is there a problem" stage and beyond.

So here it goes - this is cycle 7 for me and, as some of you might know already, last month I had my blood tests done. Got a good result back from doc on CD3, will get CD21 results tomorrow, and my ultrasound is all clear. So yay me! But am still hopeful that we'll get there without having to go for any more tests - am 6dpo today (although I was moaning somewhere else, stupid FF has me at 6 but i really think I should be 9 as i thought I OV'd on New Year's Day - anyone bored and fancy looking at my chart). But I'll take FF at their word (the swine are usually right) and act as if I'm 6dpo. Had a slight temp dip this morning, not below the coverline though. And a bit of pink/red spotting last night - very small but definitely there. Of course, now my imagination is running riot on me!

Hope a few of you on the 2ww can keep me company. We also want to bump up this one viewtopic.php?f=26&t=68543 for non-2ww related matters.

Won't be on another 2ww for a while as giving my body and mind a bit of a break but will certainly support those who are and when I'm back I'm sure I will be hanging out here analysing every twinge!

I had a look at your chart there LSL, and like yourself I find FF are usually right about the DPO. Am hoping that your spotting turns out to be an implantation bleed - that would be fab, setting up the thread only to have to leave it ;o) Fingers crossed for you missus and I'll be back here tormenting you in a fortnight when we're on (yet another) 2WW ourselves! :babydust:

tttc2012 - thanks for the support! I just hope we can provide some for you too in the future.

Hippychic, thanks for taking a look. They usually are right, aren't they? But I was so convinced! The only think I know for sure after all this is that I know nothing!!

My plan last month was to spend a fortune on tests only for sods law to kick on and end up getting an Xmas BFP. Well that didn't go quite to plan. But with test results coming back with good results, am hopeful for this time around. The only bad thing about being hopeful is the crushing disappointment when the temp dip arrives.

But hey, it's only 5dpo, time for some mindless optimism!! Will schedule the crushing disappointment for next week...

Petri, hope we don't see you hear (if you know what I mean). Best of luck for this time around but if it's not your month, we'll be here waiting :wv

this is a great idea!!!

Well my story is 6 months trying, months 3 & 4 used ov sticks & got a smily but months 5 & 6 using cbfm & only got highs, no peak!!! My af is due 20th so on the dreaded 2ww although not sure i even ovulated. Going by pains & ewcm I reckon I'm (hopefully) 4dpo so a long way to go yet.

Going to try not to pimp though as last months i drove myself mad with it but my symtoms were all af related.

LSL - My plan was to waste loads on a cbfm and never have to take it out of its wrapper!

Next, I started keeping notes of all my "symptoms" and all I can say for sure is that some months I get cramps, some months i don't. Some months i get spotting before AF, other months I don't, some months i get sore boobs, other not a bit! But having the notes there does stop me from getting too carried away!

I feel ya on the CBFM - nice to know I'm not the only one who tried the "sods law" trick :)

Bloody nervous is how I'm feeling. My LP is short enough at 10 days ( I say that based on the one and only other cycle I ov'd on. So I should know more by the weekend.

I did something really stupid today though ladies (I'm so pathetic I know) : I bought something for a baby - the baby I'm so yearning for to be growing in there already
I'm so ridiculous - it'll probably jinx any luck i had.......my DH would have heart failure if he knew!!! :ooh
I think I need my head checked - never mind my lady bits.....

Luckyladee you aren't mad at all. You do what exactly what you want to do. You KNOW that you are going to get your baby so you might as well be prepared. ;o) :xxx :xxx
