Make up artist to the house in Donegal

Hi All,

I am looking to sort out hair and makeup for my wedding in Donegal next March.

I think I would like to have people call to the house we will be staying in (in Fahan) rather than go into a place.

I saw a lot of threads about hairdressers already so will follow up with that- just wondering if anyone can suggest makeup in the derry/letterkenny/ buncrana etc area, or someone willing to travel?

Hi Thumpette just wanted to let you know about a girl i used a few months ago for my cousins wedding.

She was Angela at the Powder Room her number is 085 7776821. I cannot recommend this girl enough! She is a mac make up artist and we are booking her now again for our xmas party night.

She comes to the house no prob she is lovely. There was 5 of us the morning of my cousins wedding and she made us all SO Glam looking nd everyone was delighted with her.

thumpette, I found it extremely difficult to find a donegal based make up artist to come to the house who was:
A: Available
B: Not charging me a fortune to drive 10mins up the road!

So I found a fantastic girl from Longford (who travels everywhere) She is a supplier on here http://www.danekawilsonmakeup.com/ She came up to me and did a trial and I :lvs

I used Angela from the Powder Room for my wedding as well . She came to the house and made up me ,my mum and the 3bridesmaids . She did a fantastic job , i looked fab (even if i do say so myself), everyone commented on how pretty my makeup was. She arrived early and got set up in no time and she even managed to calm some of the girls down .
Really recommender Angela , she was very good and didn't charge the earth.

Hi Lisa Harkin in Buncrana would be a good one. She does hair & make up- they have a FB page with wedding hair & make up on it- might be worth a look. They're price list is there as well. Michelles or Natural Beauty are the other two salons in the town- not sure if they travel but if its only Fahan I can't imagine they wouldn't!!! Buncrana would be your best bet as if they charge travel it would be the closest.

I'm getting married in Buncrana in march as well- I'm 5th March- what date are you???!!!!

Will give them a call for the hair- think im all sorted for make up now!

Some of their hair is a bit mad looking- but Im sure they can tone it down!

Done be wrecking An Grianan on us now! :P How many people are you having? Have you decided on menus, decor or anything?

Yeah some of it is a bit off the wall but they're recent bridal hair is really nice! Quite modern but pretty.

We're having 360 & as you know the Grianan only holds 320 so Im hoping for a few no's!!! Typical Donegal wedding that gets outta hand with numbers!

No real theme really but most stuff is purple to go with BM's!!

Yeah really close now- bit scary actually but oh so exciting!!!!
