Rathsallagh House Query

Hi,
I'm planning a wedding for Spring 2014. Our guest list is 250 people.
We are in the process of looking at venues. I would love a castle/country house venue
but we need somewhere to cater for 250 guests. We are also looking for somewhere around the Dublin region (Dublin, Kildare, Meath, Wexford etc) and would like if the venue had a large number of guest rooms.

Have had a look at Rathsallagh House on the internet. It looks fantastic.
Was just wondering if anyone has any feedback on the venue especially anyone with a large number of guests! Do they have it in a marquee for this number of people? If so what was the marquee like, I would be a bit wary of this as I have never been to a marquee wedding in Ireland.

Any info on this would be great,

Hi Megand88,

My fiance and I were at a wedding in Rathsallagh House in 2008 and I have to say it was a stunning venue for a wedding :o)ll

We had a huge bedroom suite for the night so I can only imagine what the bridal suite is like!

I know that the bride and groom were delighted with it. The meal was in the dining room; it was a fairly large crowd so not sure if they had the option of a marquee or not.

Having booked a venue ourselves, I would recommend you arrange a visit and get a feeling for the place.

I went to view Rathsallagh for my wedding. Can't remember but think the dining room seats about 80. There is a marquee out the back. I'm not sure how to describe it but it's a permanent fixture with proper flooring and bathrooms. Not your typical marquee so I can't see weather being a problem. Can't remember how many it sat but it was quite big. Hope this sorta helps!

Viewed Rathsallagh House today. Beautiful venue. Can sit up to 130 in dining room and up to around 260 in permanent marque. Would be nice if your thinking 250 guest but we're thinking 150 so venue probably won't work for us.
