Photoshoot activity with DMC Photography - brilliant!

Photoshoot activity with DMC Photography - brilliant!

Postby Susan Bourke » Sun Feb 26, 2022 11:44 pm

Hi everyone,

I am just back from my hen weekend and I wanted to let you know about the activity we had because it was absolutely great!

My girls and I went to Maynooth (which, by the way, is a really good location for a hen party - we stayed in the Glenroyal and only needed to walk two minutes up the road to find good restaurants and pubs/nightclubs). Our activity was a model photoshoot with David from DMC Photography and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish.

First of all, we had a make-up artist called Anne-Marie who professionally applied our make-up - we all looked fabulous once she was finished with us! While we were waiting to get our make-up done, we were provided with cocktails and chocolates and a movie was played on a projector screen to keep us entertained.

Once we had our make-up on, we took it in turns to take our photos. We did individual shots and lots of group shots and we brought accessories to liven up the pictures - sunglasses, masks, the obligatory veil and L plate, and so on. We had a great laugh! It was incredibly fun to pose for the camera - we felt like we were on America's Next Top Model. :-)

The photographer, David, was excellent. He was extremely relaxed and easy-going and put us at our ease (because some of the girls were a little bit nervous). He was very flexible and open to all our suggestions for different shots, even the wacky and silly ones! He also stayed for over an hour longer than we had originally arranged and never made us feel rushed. He took hundreds of photos and that's not an exaggeration. In a few days' time we will be able to view these photographs online and each girl will get to choose their favourite to be framed.

I would not hesitate to recommend this activity to other people for a hen party. It was a great deal from DMC Photography and I just cannot emphasise enough how much fun we had. We all said that we would do it again which I think says it all! :-)

Hi Susan. I really enjoyed our Photoshoot on Saturday. Hope you had a great night afterwards. I have about 150 of the photos edited so far. I might put a couple of teasers on the forum this evening so you have something to view before they are all edited. For anyone else looking for the same type of activity it is available nationwide from DMC Photography.
Thanks
David

For the attention of anyone that may share the same doubts as SandyClaws and samcro I have been in touch with both of those Wollies by PM giving them a very simple way to get proof that Susan Bourke is a genuine Wollie who was merely expressing her satisfaction for a service that she was very happy with.
Anyone with doubts can re-read the OP and they will see the name of the hotel where the hen party took place in Maynooth. A simple phone call to the hotel can verify that Susan Bourke along with 11 others enjoyed a great hen party there over last weekend during which I provided a Covergirl Fashion photoshoot for them from 2.30- 6.45pm.
The phone number for the hotel is 01-6290909
Also anyone who wishes can also contact Anne Marie Doherty, also a supplier on WOL who was the make-up artist at the photoshoot on Saturday and she can verify that Susan is a genuine bride to be.
It is a shame that the doubts expressed by two wollies may put a dampener on the memories that Susan and her other hens have of a great weekend.

Susan could you please say if the make-up artist worked for the hotel or was she part of the package that DMC supplied. Might be interested in this. Could you say how much it costs. PM if you like. Thanks

I used David for my wedding back in June 2011 and he was fantastic.

I don't like all this nastiness towards him, it's totally uncalled for.

And for anyone that would like to verify if I am a 'real' wollie, please feel free to look through any of my posts and also search for my old account name MichelleMyBelle.

You will find previous reccommendations from me for David.

He done a fatastic job on the day of my wedding, is one of the nicest guys I've ever met and he was completely, 100% professional. We had our album back within weeks and it's stunning.

I don't want to get involved in this whole silly arguement that's going on, I just want to give some positive feedback as I think David's being portrayed very unfairly here.

Hi everybody,

I am writing again to follow up on my original post from Sunday night. It may look suspicious that this is only my second time to comment on a Weddings Online forum but I am most certainly a genuine person. I got engaged last February and joined Weddings Online last April but I rarely, if ever, post anything online in forums. I only do it if I feel very strongly about something, as was the case with my hen party. I had such a fantastic time at the photoshoot that of course I had to let others know how excellent it was so that they too would have the opportunity to experience it.

We truly had a brilliant time at the shoot, it was the highlight of my hen weekend for me. David was great in relation to every aspect of the activity - he was very accommodating in terms of any alterations I wished to make to the original photoshoot package and he was extremely professional on the day, while also being very easy-going. He has already uploaded over 400 photos to his website for us to look at, and I have to say that I am thrilled with the results.

The whole experience was really positive, I will always have great memories of the day. If anyone has any further questions about it, feel free to send me a message.

Susan

Hi all,
Just to back up what Susan was saying I was one of the "hens" and can also recommend DMC photography. I was a bit hesitant at the idea of a photoshoot at first but as soon as I saw the set up I was quickly set at ease. David was so professional and it really was great fun. David had cosmo's and chocolates ready for us and gave us examples of the poses we could do (although some were a bit risque!). He let us use his camera and take our own pictures and was open to any idea we had (he even had us sitting on the bar in the hotel bar for a picture).
Overall his professionalism and friendly character makes him very easy to recommend. If you're looking for a photographer who will go out of his way and give you something different while maintaining professionalism, David's your man.

Meant also to say that Anne Marie who did our make up was excellent
