Do you mind me asking where your doing the course? I would love love love to be able to do it and pass it down to my daughter!!

I'm doing it in Kays School of Floristry in Dublin. Its €350 for the day but that includes all materials, approx 30 brooches in whatever colours you want. They are very accommodating too, I couldnt make the scheduled date so they let me pick a day and do a 1 on 1 class. Heres a link

Hope this helps

OMG, this is a great idea. Possible birthday pressie. Will start dropping hints. Can use the supplies I already have for the BMs maybe. Would love to hear how u get on Bella!!!!

HELP ME!

I'm doing rough invites out at the minute and I've found a couple of images on iStockphoto that I wanna use. I only copy and pasted them for the minute as I don't wanna buy a lot of images that I'm not gonna use, so they have the watermark...

I'm using leaves in the corner and chopped a bit of this image to join the two corners together, however its leaving big white squares overlapping

I suppose my question is, when I download the iStockphoto property (i.e pay for it... will it have white borders or will it have transparent edges as I'm printing on Cream paper...

Using Open Office 3.0 as I can't afford to buy Microsoft Office

Have started my invites now, so can't wait to get stuck into them!!! Have been inspired to spruce up my plain candles (which I got for free!!) so will be starting that too!!!

Aoife, WOW, you've done an amazing job on everything! I ADORE that poem for the guestbook, it's one of the nicest I've seen (and a bit better than my idea of leaving chocolate beside the guestbook to attract people :o0 ) I also love the candles without the bling, they look fab.

Had a bit of a disaster with my cross-stitch hearts, managed to lose 10 of them somewhere so had to do another 10 today O:| so sick of looking at them now!! I'm waiting on my crystal pins to come for my bouquet, ordered them ages ago & they should be here this week - whenever they come I'll pop a pic of the finished bouquet up.

Invites doing my head in now, can't seem to decide on a font!

Made a sign for the hotel pointing to the room where the ceremony will be. Its not perfect but was my first attempt at crackle paint so I'm pretty pleased with it. The W looks more like an M but I'm hoping no one will notice :)

Hi ladies, there's some great work happening here :)
I have just finished my booklets and evening invites today, delighted with them and its great to see the money that can be saved.
My next project is the ferrero rocher! has anyone else here made anything different to the trees? I am thinking of making a dummy cake shape - 3 tiers of oasis or styrofoam and covering them in fabric and sticking the sweets around the edges and on top with a nice pink ribbon to match colour scheme around each 'cake' .
I think with a 12 10 and 8 inch cake I should probably fit all the sweets.
Anybody have an opinion on how well this would work?

Hi Busybride28

Wanted to do the Ferraro Roche trees too but was also trying to think of something different, I have visions of me making a tree and it falling to pieces!!!!! :-8

Was thinking of doing two cone shapes instead, that way they would be flat on a table with no fear of collapsing!! :)
I like your idea of the cakes, would you end up using alot more Ferraro Roches then????

I've spend ALL DAY on Word switching and changing my invites - and I think I've come up with something I'm happy with!!
Thanks to HellsBelles who helped me :thnk :thnk :thnk :thnk

I've used pocketfolds from Cardsandpockets
The pocket in the picture is Mars but I'm waiting for a sample to come in Copper - a kinda dirty/burnt orange - I'll post a pic when I get it and see which ye girls prefer... so what ya's think??

EDIT - Removed pic
