What vitamins are you all taking? I've been taking pregnacare plus for the last 6-7 weeks and am near the end of the pack. Should I change? I only took folic acid last time.

Am only taking folic acid. Also, taking iron tablets since I hit the 12 week mark as my iron levels were low when I got my bloods taken. Never took anything additional last time and don't intend to this time either. I think as long as you have a good balanced diet then there really is no need to take anything else.

Ye I'm on pregnacare too. My appetite is awful so not taking in what I should. Fish oils is something I'm worried about, as it's important for brain development. I can't stand to smell or look at fish!

I'm the same as you luckylass1, don't feel that I'm eating properly at all and I'm not a fish lover at all!

Only on folic acid too, was told I could stop taking this at 12 weeks but decided to keep taking it for another week or two. Anyone else stopping at around the same time?

My appetite is starting to come back now big time, when I get hungry I am automatically starving. I love tuna on toast but have to restrict this to 2 cans a week as well. Pity, cos I could eat it every day.

My energy is picking up too, am not sleeping as much but I seem to have a constant niggling headache no matter how much water I drink. Think this is probably last week in my jeans too, they are just getting too uncomfortable now. Have to go get whole new wardrobe me thinks O-O

Elizabeth thank God I'm not the only one. My jeans and work trousers are nearly ready to pop and I'm so afraid it's just me being a pig as everywhere I read I see girls saying they havn't put on any weight until the 4th/5th month! I know I havn't been good with eating or exercising these past few weeks as I was so tired and plus gave myself a break as been watching my weight for years and finally let go a bit. Trying to control it now as am afraid I'm not giving babs the fish oils and greens it needs to grow a big healthy brain :-8 Anyone else feeling guilty?
I'm getting back to the gym tomorrow, fingers crossed to try and get back into the health buzz, obviously don't want to lose any weight just want to control it and not make things hard for me or babs as time goes on.
I think the tiredness is lifting a little though, maybe due to the relaxing weekend I had in fairness. Hubby took me off to a spa and had a lovely facial done. Couldn't enjoy the jacuzzi, or any of the jets in the water but was lovely treat all the same. I could get used to all this pampering :yelrotflmaosmilie:
I'm just on folic acid as my doc said to stay on it for now, waiting to see on my next visit if I'm to go on the iron.
Safari girl, sorry to hear of the fright that doc gave you and delighted to hear babs is nice and big and moving away in there!
I'm 13 weeks today and time is finally starting to move along a bit, I thought 12 weeks would never come. I think it helps that everyone knows now too.
Hope everyone else is well rested after the long weekend.

Like some of you say, I'm at the point now where I'm thinking of buying one of those band thingys for my jeans so I don't have to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe... It's not really bump though, just like I've put on all my weight around my middle. I haven't been doing much exercise with the nausea and tiredness and the cravings for pancakes don't help matters! My plan is to begin walking and swimming again over the next month.
I'm taking pregnacare with the fish oils since the test and when I asked my midwife whether to keep taking it she seemed pretty in favour of me continuing.
Minibling, that sounds like a lovely weekend. Thanks for your best wishes, would kill that GP now if I saw her, but just glad all seems ok.

I'm taking the pregnacare with the fish oils also.
I am the same with the weight, went through my whole wardrobe yesterday and only a handful of bottoms fit me now but are really tight and uncomfortable. My friend bought one of those band thingys and said that an elastic band would do the same job. They are a bit pricey around 17euro I think.
Think I'm just gonna bite the bullet and start getting a few maternity bits for the comfort.

I also think the tiredness is FINALLY lifting. Went out for a long walk after work there instead of flaking out on the couch. Hopefully it continues so I can start getting more exercise :)

I am just taking pregnacare with fish oils too, took it the last time the whole way through. I really have not been eating healthily like I did on my first pregnancy - eating far too much crisps and chocolate. Nearly out of the nauseous stage and will have to sort my diet out then.

I was due to have my scan today but made a big boo boo. I thought it was 2.20 but got there and it was 12.20 so they've rescehduled for tomorrow. It's sp upsetting when you've been building up to it for weeks, anyhow I'm so gald it wasn't put off for a week, I can last till tomorrow!! I'm much more nervous this time than last time, please God all will be okay.

I'm going to hunt down my maternity gear tomorrow if all is good at the scan. I am bursting out of all my clothes!!

Hope everyone is well x

Well I am delighted today as I found the heartbeat on the doppler. Such a relief as I have had nothing symptom wise. I really don't feel pregnant at all! But I guess everything is ok. Excited about the scan next week now. Will feel so weird to be heading back in there so soon!

Hi ladies great to hear all the scans are going well. Got my appointment today for the MLU on May 25th and I'll be 13 +1 then. Only thing is I've been reading up on MLU and don't think I'll qualify as I've had LETTZ done??? Don't know weather or not to ring them and ask or just go ahead to the appointment...just afraid they will do nothing with me only reschedule me and I'll have to wait longer on a scan. What do you think girls?

Hi Girls,
Great to hear all scans are going well. Gigs, that's a pain about your apt but at least it's only a day you have to wait. Best of luck Lureal and Frisp, great to hear scan went well and dates were moved up!
Just had the most amazing Indian Head Massage thanks to a present from hubbie. I'd been getting bad headaches on and off since before I even tested and would reccomend it for anyone with similar symptoms. Very safe during pregnancy as long as your therapist knows your pregnant as is careful which oils they use and soooo relaxing. Good time to spoil ourselves I reckon. :wv
