I'm not so close, but getting married in Casares church with reception in Benahavis in October. It's coming up to the 6 month countdown, so getting excited!
I am actually living in Casares so you would think that it would be a lot easier for me, but some people here seem to be so much more organised!

Definitely will need to take some photos with this view...

Actually we might be going to Benahavis on the 14th for our tasting!

You'll be happy to know that the weather is gorgeous at the moment. Lovely blue sky out....just wish I wasn't working!

Hi Cailinobac,

That's great to hear because i am a little worried about the weather with it being so early in the year!

We shall probably see you on 14th as we're having a barbecue in the hotel around 4.30. We have 190 travelling over for the wedding so you won't miss us in the hotel!!!

Can't believe it is so close, time has really flown by! Are you pretty much organised?

Well we’ve been very lucky so far this year. I came two years ago and it rained non stop for 2 months….but we were living beside Gibraltar and the weather is worse there usually anyway. But this year has been so dry, so fingers crossed!

We would be in the hotel around 2.30. We asked for a Saturday because we can’t afford to take an afternoon off at the moment. Just need to find two lucky volunteers to come with us. Are you having a band? I think we’re having Monkey Tennis, but still not finalised. I think we might meet somebody in the hotel about decoration on the day of the tasting, I feel like I have nothing organised, but I have hair/makeup/photographer sorted (and dress ordered) so I suppose that’s the main things and we still have almost 6 months left…
I’m going home at the weekend for my niece’s christening, so will talk to the priest that will do the wedding. The priest in Casares is nice, but I just would feel weird having the whole mass in Spanish and nobody understanding anything. Have a few volunteers for singing in the church, so need to start thinking about that…..god, so much to do!

Just got an email saying my tasting has been cancelled :o(

Oh well, I'm a bit disappointed, but then again, my parents mentioned it over the weekend that they were thinking of visiting me in June for the tasting, so now that can actually happen I suppose!

Shame about the tasting but your plan B sounds like a very nice alternative :)
