We adore stripes. We also adore polka-dots. Pair them up and you have one amazing wedding theme for a sweet, light-hearted ‘I Do’ wedding day!
Stripes and polka-dots are very diverse, and can be incorporated in so many different ways - bridesmaid dresses, cakes, centrepieces, invites - you get the gist of what we're trying to say here! This theme will really put a smile on your guests’ faces. And, for even more laughs, you could ask your guests to incorporate stripes and dots in some way in their dress too - it would make for some great, and maybe a little wacky, images!

To keep this look chic and tidy, mix stripes and dots in similar colours. We just love this mint and yellow look (above) and red and black combo (below)!

This week we published the new Rosa Clara 2013 bridal collection. For the past few years Rosa Clara has had a sort of origami feel to some of its signature looks, through fanned pleats, angular accents and structured silhouettes. So today it got us thinking about a Japanese Garden style wedding.
Gorgeous angular peplum dresses are the perfect way to get an origami feel to your bridal look, and you don't have to look far for it. Pleats and pockets at Rosa Clara, oversized bows at Monique Lhuillier, *that* closing dress at Elie Saab for Pronovias - this look is for ladies who ooze confidence and style.
To incorporate a Japanese Garden theme to the rest of your bridal party, try gorgeous oversized kimonos as cover-ups for your bridesmaids, or even some brightly coloured, or patterned, rice paper parasols.

For decor, some darling origami bird wish trees would make an eye-catching entrance piece to your reception as well as a beautiful 'guest book'. Hand painted wedding cakes are a huge trend for 2013, and would work perfectly with this theme in a floral designs. Go for a minimal look overall, with simple colours so that shapes and textures really stand out - pale paper lanterns are great for mood lighting and add an elegant eastern feel to the room.
For you ceremony, think about providing mass booklets on fans for your guests! A great DIY project, this will add a great themed touch to proceedings and will give the guests something special to take home, or if you would prefer, have the wedding menu written on the back instead.
