Weight loss and motivation tips and some weekly weigh ins?

Here it is on amazon

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Jillian-Michael ... 671&sr=8-1

You can check it out on youtube too. 20 min session combining cardio and weights, I've heard wollies rave about it. Excellent for arms according to ladies here. Don't know why I waited this long myself to order it!

I use myfitnesspal too. I find the forums invaluable and motivating. Have to sift through some rubbish but some people who really know their stuff. Leanred a lot about nutrition and fitness since joining and I've lost over 12kgs (26lbs). Mu username is micls there too if anyone wants to add as a friend.

Recently moved to maintenance calories but focusing on body composition so just started Stronglifts programme. A bit intimidating and tough but I can see the difference already and it's only been a week! I also do HIIT after the lifting, play football once a week and go for a long walk on a Sunday.

This time 18months ago I was doing absolutely nothing fitness wise, and hadn't in years, and had put on 18lbs since moving country!

THANK YOU for starting this thread!!

It's 14 weeks to my wedding and I've lost all motivation! Was doing well (slowly) for a couple of months but last few weeks I've lost the run of myself!

I had even taken up running in the eve and now I can't even remember what it felt like!
Getting weighed and measured Monday in the gym and I know that'll put the frightened on me!

At the mo, I'm 13 stone 5, and about 5 foot 7.

I want to lose at LEAST a stone by the wedding and tone up loads. Used myfitnesspal for a while and found it great. Don't know why I ever stopped.....

Apart from the three cans of beer last night >:o( , I've been good with food and exercise.

But miraculously, I'm three pounds lighter than I was on Thursday, so I don't know where that miracle came from (probably the fact that I'm drinking water and p!$$ing like a racehorse), but I'll take it!

Good luck for this week girls! :lvs

great thread!

I started a blog to try and kick myself into action, well actually its an old blog that ive revived!, im back to the old reliable, WW, tbh having tried a few others recently, such as Dukan, its the most long term and better for your sanity!

Blogging is good for me because im accountable for my weight loss, and hopefully i can get/give support to others!

an absolute gem of a find is an app for the iphone/ipad, Skimble, its absolutely brilliant, its an exercise app that gives you plans and programs, so much is free, but your as well to pay the €7.99 i think, and get access to more plans. You can get programs depending on your goals but this costs more, the paid version is great without paying for plans with sections such as yoga, body building, cardio, toning etc. in fact, its one of my fav apps. i use it on my ipad and play my music behind it, when the instructor is talking it auto lowers the music volume so you can hear them. its bloomin' brill! i was using it for a month and found it great as i had been using not being able to leave the house in the evening as a convenient excuse not to do exercise, then i had a a late period of 13 days that convinced me i was pregnant and i stopped.. so now im getting back on track, as my wedding is 6 months away!

back on track as of yesterday, wish me luck!

Hi Girls - just seeing this now as I was away for the weekend and didn't have internet access. Can I have in too? Wedding in under 3 months now and like so many others I feel I need to watch the weight as the stress has me comfort eating - I will check my weight later and post it. Well done girls on the weight losses so far - we can do it!
